Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers are gasket-free, compact units which consist entirely of pressed stainless steel plates, brazed with copper in a special vacuum-furnace process. For brazing, every alternate plate is rotated by 180o to produce two separate flow chambers in which the heat exchanger medias flow in opposite directions.
The plate contours generate high turbulence during fluid throughput which promotes efficient heat exchange even with low volumetric flows. The main characteristics of GEA Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers are:
- Gasket-free, hermetically sealed construction to avoid any loss of fluid
- Compact construction to minimize the space requirement
- High heat transfer coefficient for outstanding thermal performance
- Consist almost entirely of thermally efficient plates for lower weight
- Low hold-up volumes • Best price / performance ratio
- Available on short delivery times
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers are used in the following industries:
- Heating and ventilation, HVAC
- Refrigeration and air-conditioning
- Building services industry
- District heating
- Power industry
- Machine and engine cooling
- Transmission and hydraulic oil cooling
